Oh yes you can, as long as your not high risk pregnancy....
there is no reason you cant.
unless your hubby or whatever is like 10 in. there is a long way from the vagina to cervix, dont worry. And 3cm just means your cervix is opened, not that the baby is low, if doc gave you a number on station (like +1, +2, is high up, and -1, -2, ect. is low).
Either way, of course you can. ;)

shure and for the dummys who say the penis will hit the baby is full of crap. long as ur water isnt broke its safe. his warm spunk will help u get ur labor going and make it not hurt as bad when u have the baby good luck and i hope u have fun

As long as your bag of water is still intact then it's fine to have sex.
Know that semen can ripen the cervix and orgasm can bring on contractions.....so if you are not close to your due date, you might want to talk to your caregiver since it sounds like you're progressing already. (Although I imagine you'd have been told to go on "pelvic rest" if they were concerned.)

absolutely and be prepared to go to the hospital cause you will be having a baby in atleast 24 hours.....good luck and congrats...thats how i finally got the darn thing out...lol

You can have sex as long as your water has not broke. Enjoy it. It will be a long time until you can do it again.
