Do you spend a whole lot of time in the morning trying to get ready for school, work, anything? Why do you spend all that time?

This is for those who answer that they do it so others will notice them. You shouldn't have to do things to yourself to fit in. Just be yourself and if people don't like it, tough luck. You can be all that you can be and you'll find that by acting like yourself, other's will like you as well.

yes I spend abou t 2 hours only on my hair when i get ready 4 school & Im only in 7th grade! I spend all that time b/c I want people to notice me

I'm a boy and I am going to answer.
Look at the symbol for female (same as the planet Venus) and the symbol for male (same as the planet Mars).
The symbol for female is a looking glass - a mirror. Spending all that time at the mirror is normal for women, and that has been known for all of recorded history.
If you would like to reduce that time - consider your skills in make-up application. Start with this knowledge - the goal is to reach an ideal geometry. For your face - that involves a defined set of steps. It shouldn't change. You shouldn't create your face anew each day. Just memorize the steps, do them, and trust that you are beautiful and that both men and women will enjoy the effect. You may want to do practice drills and get the routine down to fast. I can shave in two minutes - no sweat.
Have self-confidence, do your thing in the bathroom, and get going.

If i were to tell the truth, I would say I spend all that time making myself look how I usually appear to others. If I just go out looking like I do when I wake up, then I think I may hear questions or remarks from people regaurding how much worse I look. I guess I do it to keep from having to hear potentially bad comments from people. I guess I am just afraid of what people will say.

I spend about 45 minutes, and I'm always trying to think of ways to cut it down. I have thick hair that takes forever to blowdry, but looks bad if I let it air dry. I pick my clothes out the night before too. You are right,I wish I could waste less time getting ready.

Yes I do! I need to look my best to feel good and be confident. It is probably all in my head by this is a simple method to boost my confidence and it's worth the 30 min in the morning.

i spend anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours in the morning getting ready for school. gotta look my best!!!

for school i spend probably 30-45 min getting ready.. depending on when i take a shower if i do the night befor or that morning... i just wash, dress, makeup and hair and breakfeast... thats my morn.

Yea, I get up at five and leave at 7:30. It is a shame all we have to do to keep ourselves up. But that is the price of being a girl. Guys get up , and ten minutes they r out the door. But when we r done we r adorable when we r done, huh, girls.

No. I just get up and go. But i still look fabulous. But i have great respect for those girls who slave for hours in front of the bathroom mirror before heading out of the house.

If you're a high maintenance type of person, it does require a lot of time.
If you're inclined to appreciate how God created you, you tend to work with what you've got and go!
I fall in the latter category.
