The Bible says, essentially, that breaking any commandment is equally bad. However, all religions that believe in the Bible (or parts of it) have their own interpretations of the commandments, so you need to speak with a religious leader before you start worrying that telling your mother that her hideous dress is "nice" is going to get you a ticket to Hell.

Many people don't realize that the ten commandments are interpreted, but if you think about it, it's obvious. How many Christians won't kill a fly because there is a commandment against killing? How many are vegetarians for the same reason? If you are religious, it is important that you examine your beliefs so that you know exactly what you are supposed to believe.

Another example, let's say that someone posted a statement on a board that is supposed to only be for questions, and that they did so after agreeing to the board's terms of use. That's lying, isn't it?

There is no people that can answer no. But when we change our conscience and really knows what we are doing here, then we learn that lies are the worth thing in our life. The Bible message helps, is an alert, but if we do not live the experience we will fall down again and again. We must pay attention the whole time... and it possible to avoid lying.

Everyone lies. Small lies can sometimes make social interactions better and avoid divisiveness. Large lies usually hurt someone.

And, I can't resist a quote from Babylon 5:

"Everyone lies, Michael. The innocent lie because they don't want to be blamed for something they didn't do, and the guilty lie because they don't have any other choice." -- Jeffrey Sinclair

Your lieing now, as your claiming judgement day is coming, when???, next week???, next month??? year??? ten years????? 20,30, 40 ....... years?????

I dont beleive in this day and age, there are still stupidily niave brain-washed christians, like yourself, who cant help themselves, but to try and convince everyone else they should be guilty,sin-full, re-penting, and god fearing....
I fear no god and im not scared to die,ive been at apoint in my life i thought i was dieing, and i was fighting all the way!!...
The only god that is as the bible describes and you interpret as, is in your head , and your fellow christians heads ONLY.
NO real creator would be so great to do all this and then lack empathy and sympathy to the limitations of the subjects he/she has created......

So in closing, grow up, get a life, live life and get WISE!!.

Everyone lies at some point in their life. The bible also says that Jesus was the only perfect person that has ever walked this earth. Where does it say that in the bible anyway?

There isn't a person on this planet that has never lied. I'm sure you have lied plenty of times in your life. Please don't condemn others. I am thinking you mean well but it can easily be taken the wrong way. Its not our place to judge people. Its our job to show love of one another not throw stones at each other.

The real fact is that everyone has lied, no one is innocent. It is in our sin nature to lie and by the time we have grown into adolescence we already have made a path of lying. Salvation is awesome! Thank you Jesus!

We've all lied. I mean, I haven't lied, but I only say that because I'm such a liar LOL.

Lying is human nature. The truth just doesn't always work.

I think that most everyone in thier lifetime has lied about something. When someone asks you how you are and you say "Fine" when really you feel like crap and are having the worst day ever, then you're lying.
