You probably have 2 pilot lights in the oven.
The broiler pilot light is at the top of the oven and the oven burner pilot light is below the pan in the bottom of the oven.

Its at the bottom under the oven. There should be a door that opens out. Turn the gas off in the back of the stove first. Just follow the lines.

The safety features of your gas control valve should automatically have turned the gas off to your pilot light when it went out. If you still smell gas and the pilot light is out, your stove gas valve has malfunctioned and you need to turn your main gas supply line valve off immediately and call the gas company. Don't try to light the pilot with a malfunctioning gas valve because enough trapped gas could explode.

You don't want to find the pilot light, you want to find the valve to shut the gas off !!!!!!
Your stove must be faulty: The gas should shut off by itself once the pilot flame extinguishes for whatever reason.

The whole top comes up.
