I have this friend who i met yesterday from yahoo answers, she contacted me and today me her problems. She was online a couple of hours ago, and she told me that she was going to kill herself. I don't know where she lives, or who i can contact to stop her. All i know is her country...and her email address. I have tried to convince her the best i could during the past 2 hours, and she still said she'll kill herself tonight. She's depressed, and i have been too. For all i know...my depression was worse, i never had help to help me get over it...and i felt the same way she did, that no one understands, but i got over, and i know she can too. Even if i know we're not the same person, and her will might not be as strong, but i care too much for her to let her die, what should i do? I tried my best talking to her...and i mean i really tried, describing every single pain i have ever felt. But i don't she wanted to hear all about it. What should i do? What if she kills herself?

Thomas you need to calm down.try sending an e-mail to her and see if she answers it.I'm sure she's just fine and wont go through with killing herself.cause if she dose then she wont get into heaven.she'll be frosted to spend all eternity in hell.and never see the ones who went before her.She could also be telling you this to get attention too.alot of people think that no body loves them so they cry wolf.I'm not saying she is doing that but she might be. good luck

First of all, everyone is responsible for their own live. you just met this girl online yesterday..you can chat for hours still you do not know her. for all you know she does that all the time to get attention..tugging at the heart string of strangers. or she could be just a prankster playing with you....even if it turns out to be true, she killed herself..you are not responsible for her dead...it's not like she did it infront of you or you could have physically prevent it. Life is precious, but if she does not value it ..there's nothing you can do.....

unless you know some really good contacts where she is, there isn't a whole lot you can do. Just try to keep in touch w/her. Keep sending her offline messages. Stay positive though, if she's suicidal anything remotely negative could push her over the edge.

Some ladies give suicide threats to get attention. I was invovled with one who gave suicide threats on a weekly basis. even watched her cut her wrists in front of me. unfortunately i had to harden my heart to those who will give those threats, mostly they are a cry for attention, and when you acknowledge them they now know how to get your attention and will continue using it for their own self fufillment.
sounds like she got a hold on you
it's great that you care, but don't let it tear you apart.
suicide is something we must all face and overcome on our own

call your area police department and tell them what she said...give them her email address and so forth...tell them everything you know about her..they have ways of tracing that type of info....
