My mom and younger sister have given me a very hard time about my butt. They say things like oh you have a big butt and they laugh. On the other hand i have had my Dad say that is not true and i have had friends say i have a great looking butt. And guys seem to like it too. So is my mom and sister just jealous? Seriously i do not have a big butt...i'm really confused about why they would say all that. What do you think?

PS Both my younger sister and mo have always seemed kinda jealous of me because i ended up with the great figure and they don't have one.

Be happy with yourself. Close the door to your room and lock it. Now turn and look in the mirror at your butt. Are you happy with it? YOUR opinion is the only one that truly matters. If everyone else seems to compliment you on your butt, either sis and Mom are jealous as you already surmised, or perhaps they are just joking and not realizing that their jokes are hurtful. Regardless, if you ignore them, it won't be fun for them to tease you anymore. Try it!

try hard not to let it bother you... how do U feel about ur butt? lol... if u think it's seriously kinda big, then u can try to exercise a bit. but if u think u have a great figure, it ain't no thang! :) look at J Lo people say u can put a platter on her butt and she could serve coffee! but she looks awesome, and most people WANT a butt like that. anyways, the most important thing is for you to feel beautiful about yourself, whether or not u have flab, or fat, or big assets, etc, (or small assets!), don't worry so much about people who are negative. focus on the positive and u will be happy person who doesn't need to make fun of other people and bring them down!

I don't know why they do that? We used to do that to my sister as a kid too. (I did it just because my older siblings were doing it.)

If they laugh after they say it, play along and say, "You're just jealous." You'll get a clue from their reaction to that statement whether they mean it, if they confess their jealous, or what they actually say next.

(By the way, I'm not sure if I have a big butt or just the right size. I definitely have one, and get complements from people I don't know on it. They run in my family. Meanwhile, my youngest daughter doesn't have one, and wishes she did. So be proud of whatever figure you DO have.)

No disrespect or anything, but I have the feeling you are comfortable with your body and you are asking that for some attention. You said so yourself, you have a great figure. It's OK to be proud not cocky. If people are jealous, let them be. Keep your head up.

They are just making fun of you, because you do have a better figure than they do. Your dad sees the potential stress this creates on you and is trying to comfort you. Poke fun at your mom and sister every once in a while.
