I do wash with all the cleansers, and on average 3 times on a regular day. Katie hey. What's ur last name's initial? I think ur my best friend. She hates her skin too. Come to think me and her should form a pact to not talk about our selfconsious skin to each other. Her name's Katie too. So what is it?

What to do about oily skin
If you have oily skin and you'd like to do something about this condition, here are some good tips for you:
Cleanse only two or three times at the very most with a product made for your skin type. Washing more often will only strip the skin of oil which simply stimulates the oil glands to replace it.
Rinse thoroughly and then finish off with a toner/astringent on the oily areas of your skin. The astringent can be used throughout the day to help control the excess oil that
The following recipe makes a great nourishing and softening facial. Mix together a tablespoon of oatmeal and almond meal (You can get all needed ingredients for this simple mask in any health store). Add one or two tablespoon of the rose water, elderflower water and nettle water, (enough to make a thick paste) and gently pat onto the face and neck. Allow drying for at least 15 minutes. Wash off with tepid water using cotton or a flannel cloth. The oatmeal creates a silken effect on the skin.
A Simple Herbal Steam Facial for Oily Skin.
Steaming is very good for oily skin as it diminishes the external grease and deeply cleanses the clogged pores. It also allows the black heads and whiteheads to be pushed out easily and therefore avoid pimples.
Boil a pint of water and pour over two tablespoons of any one of the following herbs: Chamomile, or Yarrow, or Lady's Mantle, or Nettle, or Fennel. Cover the bowl and your head with a towel, keeping your face away from hot water about 15 inches and allow the steam to penetrate into your skin for 10 minutes. Be careful not to put your face too close to the hot water so you do not burn your self. If the steam is too hot raise the towel to allow a cool air in. At the end of the facial your pores should be wide open so circling them with clean cotton pad or tissue you can push out any blackheads. Do not touch the blackheads with your hands. Close your pores with the following astringent.
Herbal Astringent.
There are many herbs with astringent qualities but chamomile is especially good as it has antiseptic qualities. If your face is oily you can add yarrow and chamomile combined. Another alternative for astringent is sage, which is cooling and soothing to the skin.
To make a simple astringent, pour a pint of hot water over two tablespoons of herbs and allow standing for 15-20 minutes. Strain off the herbs, bottle and keep the infusion in the refrigerator. Use as your herbal astringent tonic after you clean your face each day. The infusion can last indefinitely under cold conditions.

They sell blotting paper specifically designed for that. Sounds like you have oily skin! Don't worry, it IS curable. Instead of using that blotting paper that can be expensive, you can just use those cheap brown paper towels that they have in the bathroom. You definately need to be using an astringent. Try Clean & Clears Morning Burst. Maybe try Proactiv Solution, that works really well on removing acne but can bleach/stain anything you have your face on including clothing. You definiately should try using the Mary Kay product. It applies like a lotion but it's ideal for your situation. I went through a very long acne treatment to the point of having to get my blood tested every month, accutane. I kinda know what I'm talkin about. You should try the Mary Kay first, but most def. use a product in 3. Cleanser, Astringent/Toner, Lotion. If you don't have time to do any of that to that extent try the Olay Cleansing Cloths. If you have a BJ's or Costco around you, you can buy those in bulk and they last forever. Try different things. I wish you lots of luck and let me know how it goes!

you should wash your face 5 times. that takes away natural oils from your skin that you need. just wash 2 times a day with a good cleanser, exfoliate, tone, and moisturize. you need to moisturize even if you feel that you dont need to because of the shininess. then to cover up shininess, i recommend that you use a little gel foundation, then concealer, and then finish with pressed powder. i recommend maybelline products. their gel foundation works great.
