That is a really hard question to answer. There are lots of really fantastic places to go.
Call a reputable travel agency and tell them about your interests, budget, etc. A good agent can match you up with a great vacation at a good price.

depends on your character,
Santorini Greece is undoubtedly a unique destination and in general the many Greek islands will offer you the time of your life.
(Milos, Zante, Corfu, Myconos, Tinos, Syros, Rhodes,Crete and hundreds more small and larger islands)
If island hoping is your thing then Cyclades is the perfect place for you with about 40 different (Santorini/Myconos/Paros/Milos included) islands and very frequent boat routes.
If you plan to get to know or to forget or simply be.. as the official slogan goes.. Live your Myth.. in Greece :D

A Caribbean cruise, try and find one that stops at a lot of different islands so that you can explore each ones culture.as I remember "royal Caribbean" offers a seven (7) night six (6) day one that sails from San Juan,Porto Rico on Sundays and visits five (5) different islands including st.Thomas "the duty free shopping capital of the world" Barbados,Antigua,st mar teen and one other island with the final full day at sea so that you can rest and recharge your batteries before going home. The initial cost of a cruise is higher than going to a resort but you have to remember the price of a cruise includes all your meals, your hotel and your transportation from island to island the ship, first class entertainment every night including Broadway show revues and impromptu parties at any time, plus they transport you and your luggage for you from your airport departure city to your ships cabin.Dang writing this makes me want to call my travel agent and book another cruise right now.By the way I have been on three (3) cruises ALL "ROYAL CARRIBBEAN" and the level of service that the entire ships crew offers will blow your mind.

How much money do you have to spend on one? That makes a difference.
I would highly recommend a Caribbean cruise, they come in all different types and prices, and it's a great experience. Of those cruises, I would say a Western Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Ocho Rios (Jamaica), and Grand Cayman on either a Princess or Royal Caribbean ship would be your best bet.
Travelocity has a good site for researching and booking cruises...

EL BOLSON , ARGENTINA
Sits in a valley with two trout streams that run thru town, numerous things to see and do locally, make super jellies locally, make excellent cheese, make a wonderful cherry and rasberry beer, grow some of the best beer hops in the world, awesome scenery-it is winter and adjacent to one of the best ski resorts at Cerro Catedral in Barilouche. super inexpensive to stay there-just need some good flight prices.

when my family and me went on vacation, we went to st.john virgin islands. We were at the most beautiful resort in the world, when we got off the boat a guy greeted us with tropical drinks, and we were at the beach every day. we were able to go snorkling, and got to see a lot of fish. It is expensive though.
