They always trade a plain white ball that says FIFA APRROVED and some number.

its fifa rule that when an international game is played its a must they switch those balls and more so a small flag representing their country. it reminds them who they have played against.

perhaps the ball has their coutry flag on it to give as a momento as other games at that level do when captains exchange little flags.
