I heard your stomach produces more acid otherwise. Truth to this?

No. Actually just the opposite. Vitamins were meant to be digested over time, not all at once. You digestive organs were not meant to digest such a high concentration of minerals. What happens is you tax your liver and kidneys when you do this. In order for them to process the nutrients they have to pull water from other areas of the body to dilute the nutrients - thereby setting yourself up for dehydration. Most of the time you body will get rid of what it considers excess minerals. Therefore less of the minerals that you just ingested will actually make it to your body. As for stomach acids, vitamins are not meant to be a meal substitute - they are meant to be a meal supplement. You should be eating a good meal and drinking proper liquids at around the same time you take your vitamin. The stomach acids will be the same, with or without the vitamin there.

Noper. drink alot of water and eat a few saltines after swallowing the vitamins. Alot =8 ounces of water Few saltines=3-4

Makes a world of difference on the tummy!

Not really the best way to take vitamins is with a meal.
