I think that blogs have mostly replaced them with everyone wanting to share everything with the world to make themselves feel important.
A diary is still a good idea tho so you can look back and say, "I survived that so I can survive this" or to realize just how unimportant some of the most important things in your life were when looked at a year or so later.

I use to keep a journal, but then too much work etc and things just got on top of me and other days there was nothing much to write - so now I just write in my journal when I feel I need to - to mark a hurdle or something... or as a form of therapy... it just makes me feel good - i suppose in a way, I am creating something, but probably not as detailed as other ppls.

I do sometimes . . . especially when something is bothering me, to think things out. I don't usually hand write - I have a journal on my computer.

I do it when there something makes me want to say out loud but couldn't. But it does make me feel good to be in my own world. I have many good memories to written down. Also, some days all those good memories would express myself to somebody else knows when I'm not exist anymore.

I do. But I don't write things that anyone would understand if they just happened to pick it up.
I guess they're sort of thoughts put into poems that don't state what the real subject is.
I like my privacy.

Yes, it started out as a reference to keep for my attorney regarding a case....documentation and all. It has turned into a good vent for me, and has been invaluable when it comes to remembering what happened on certain days for all kinds of reasons.

I never do. I use to, but then I would re read them a few years later and be mortified that I acted in such away. And now, I don't want anyone to read them or find them after Im dead.
