There is no way to do that.............one of the down side of hummingbird feeder.....ants also like them.Just make sure you check your feeders .........keep them clean.........every time you change it wash it out real good............. do not put food coloring in feeders........very bad for humming birds

I used to have that problem too. I found that it helps alot to change the food and clean the feeder with hot water often. The syrup is what attracts them. You might try moving the feeder. Keep in a line of sight for the birds but far enough away to fool the bees. Good luck.

When I see one, I go aheads and spray it. It seems to work well on mine. I have 4 feeders and go through about a quart of nectar every other day.

i have not been stung in years. i'm not particular if i have been stung by skill of a bee beforehand yet I actually were stung by skill of a wasp. i imagine wasps are somewhat stressful because they in basic terms sting.And bees may frequently purely do this in case your somewhat stressful them.Plus they make honey.Which helps me alot when I have a chilly.
