In The Chronicles of Narnia, did Digory (the professor) and Polly (Mrs. McCreatey) get married?

I don't remember if the first book ever says what his last name was. I was watching the movie, and I was just curious.

No, but if you read the book series in the correct order, you will realize that he was actually the first one to visit Narnia... I don't think he married or had children... that's why his brother's children are the one's that end up going back to Narnia to save it...

No, I don't think they ever got married. I think she just became his housekeeper.

no, the professor in the movie was (I think) their son.
