Pappasitos - they're always great and would you believe they have great ribs too! I think the best Sitos is #1 located at Richmond / Hillcroft.

there is a little hole in the wall restuarant in Humble, about 25 mintues out of Houston. It's a family run business, we go once a week. It's called Noyola's. The service it so fast it's insane. And the fajitas are heavenly. They serve shrimp, sausage, beef, chicken, fish, and pork.

not really in houston, but in galveston, on the west end, playa de loro, excellent food and staff, self serve chips and salsa, and there are serveal to choose from, got an award for their shrimp enchiladas from allison cook, the food editor for the chronicle, and a little hint, go to the website, check it out and see about getting your free parrot beaks when you visit the place, parrot beaks are fried jalepenos stuffed with crab and shrimp and served with a dipping sauce, they even have shrimp fajitas, or portabello mushroom and tnderloin fajitas...plus the margaritas they serve are definitely NOT short on alcohol....
