I have super oily skin and blemishes too. I'm almost 30. I tried Bare Minerals just recently. I like it okay. It pretty much does like other make-ups I've tried....looks great when you first put it on and then by noon you're face is oily. I've not gotten any compliments using Bare Minerals. I think I still love my Revlon Colorstay makeup. It has been a make-up that I've pretty much stuck with after trying other kinds. I will probably go back to it after I use up the rest of the Bare Minerals. It is too expensive to not work like it should.
Just a side note about Proactive.....It works great! However, my face was still oily but not as many blemishes!

I love Bare Minerals. I really like that I can cover spots or dark circles without looking like I put half a bottle of foundation on. It has a very light feel to it, which I appreciate. I also noticed that my skin started feeling really soft after two days; it also started clearing up and my skin tone started improving within a week or so.

I, too, have oily skin, but I've tried several different foundations and powders and there is no powder that will make your face look soft and non-shiny all day. My cure for this is to use oil blotting papers (I especially like Shishedo's Oil Blotters) during the day as needed, rather than reapplying Mineral Veil; this way, the oil from my face doesn't get on my brush (still, it's always a good idea to wash all brushes and use new sponges on a regular basis).

If you do decide to try it, your best bet (and the best buy) is to go to Sephora and get the kit. It comes with three brushes (which aren't cheap on their own), two trial-size foundations (which lasted me several months), Mineral Veil, Warmth bronzer, and a DVD. When I got it, it retailed for about $60, and I was nervous about it, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did.

I have tried Bare Minerals and it's all marketing. The makeup is no different than anything else you could get at a drug store or department store. Try Body Shop, Bobbi Brown, or Clinique. I heard they have some great formulas for oily skin.

I use Bare Minerals. My skin is oily and I have blemishes. If I get oily during the day I normally reapply the Mineral Veil. I use Honey Bisque to cover blemishes. I would watch QVC if you're trying to decide if you want to purchase Bare Minerals.

I am currently using a product called mineral glitters. It is essetially the same product only it's made by someone else and ive only been using it for a week and already my acne has started to go away. it lasts all day without having to reapply it covers alot and its way cheaper than bare minerals. I got it from ebay but she also has a website www.mymineralglitters.com

I use it, and love it. But, I have very normal skin. I use Proactiv to help keep my skin under control, and most would say that I don't really need the Bare Minerals, but I like it. It covers well and you can't feel it like other makeup...especially liquid. If you use liquid and switch to the minerals, you'll feel lighter than you did before! :]

Never tried it my dermatologist says when clearing acne the skin needs air so I would think as far as makeup goes the lighter the better.

hey i have oily skin too! welcome!!! (: ya i like the eye shadows better then the face powder. With the eye shadows a little goes a LONG way, so they last you a while. With the powder though its way better then using a liquid foundation, it covers the same too. the brushes can be pricey but its worth i think. What make-up isn't??? good luck! (: ^_^
