They are the 3 Jews in Babylon that were thrown into the firey furnance and lived.

They were thrown into the furnace as punishment for worshipping God. They told the king that they knew their God would save them - BUT IF NOT - then they knew they were dying for a righteous cause and it was the will of God and they would accept it (that's one lesson here - to accept the will of God). They were then thrown into the furnance that was so hot that the person putting them in was killed. The king, looking into the furnance, saw not 3, but 4 people standing within the flames. The fourth person was an angel sent to protect the 3 men. They walk out completely unharmed.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are the Egyptian names for the three Jewish youths who, along with Daniel, were taken from their homeland by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and trained in the knowledge of the Chaldeans. They are particularly well-known for their refusal to bow down to the king's idols, for which they were consigned to be thrown into a furnace. The three were miraculously protected from the heat and smoke of the furnance by the power of God.

3 Jewish boys in the Bible (Book of Daniel). They refused to bow down and worship a golden idol of Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon (modern-day Iraq). Neb had them thrown in a furnance but they came out unharmed. After seeing that they were unharmed, Neb ordered everybody to worship God instead of the idol.
