It's a boy......I've been pricing baby shower favors and they are very expensive. Any ideas on how to make my own?

I've always been able to make favors spending much less than I would if I bought them at a store or online.

For a baby shower, I am dipping pretzel rods in light blue chocolate, decorating with white candy dots. I'm "wrapping" them in a clear cellophane bag and tying with a tag I created with card stock and "baby" themed stamps. All of these items can be purchases at a craft store (except pretzel rods). I've spent a total of around $30 for 100 favors.

I purchase paper from paper-source.com. It's the nicest and cheapest paper. I get business cards for the favor tags.

Hope this helps!

I did inexpensive favors buy wrapping pacifer shaped candy in the pre-cut circle tulle, tied with ribbon and attached either a plastic baby safety pin, baby cloths pin, or mini baby bottle to it...all can be found in walmart right by the wedding stuff. Honestly the guest dont care about these....in my opinion its not the same as a wedding favor although I know giving them are proper etiquette.

attempt the dollar keep - now and again they have wonderful and decrease priced products which may be ideal. The favors do not should be toddler-appropriate. Even be conscious playing cards, candles, and so on. will do. yet another concept is to purchase some mini aluminum loaf pans and bake all of us a small banana bread with a wonderful bow on it to take living house - type of like a snack. perchance the curled ribbon should be pink and blue?

i did my baby shower favors my self. i got small plastic boxes from walmart and got some plastic pins (u can find them in favors section) and glued them on the box with ribbon. they looked so cute. my friend made booties from tissue. she had two small cups and put the tissue between them and fold it in the front as a shape of bootie. check online: http://www.favoronline.net/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=71
