why isnt my lime wire working?

it saids that i dont have an active internet or i have a fire wall that is blocking it and i dont know whats wrong

disable the firewall, if that doesnt work check your interent connection.

if your internet connection is good, then go to file, then connect

and if none of those work, then just go to limewire.com and redownload it, that sshould give u the latest version and it will repair any problems

Go to the help in Limewire.

There it tells you how to set up exceptions to your firewall so that Limewire is not blocked.

You have to set up two"allowed" connections to the Gnutella network but it only takes a few minutes and the instructions in the help are step by step and pretty idiot proof as long as you note the port you are using by going into the "OPTIONS" AND WRITING DOWN THE NUMBER OF THE PORT YOUR COMPUTER IS USING before exiting and making the firewall changes through the control panel.

Look on the bottom of the screen of limewire you should see a glob with a brick wall just click that until the wall goes away and make sure the internet is open.

Maybe your Firewall is blocking it.
Try getting in your firewall's blocked program list, and move LimeWire into the allowed programs list.
