I don't think that you could be born ugly... it's more dependent on how you were raised and your peers... I mean I was a wreck before I got into HS and now.. 80 pounds lighter(and still loosing), highlighted hair, makeup classes, and the right Avada hair cut... I don't get so down when I look in the mirror... actually I haven't since freshman year of HS most of it came from meeting nicer people that didn't worry so much about how dorky I looked I naturally picked up what was right for me.

And kids a jerks... there for yes... if you don't have or know what the population sees as beautiful then it is harder...

Life is as hard, or as difficult, as you choose to make it. Why do people like to place such an emphasis on looks - 'ugly' or 'pretty' are subjective...you might think this is an ugly person's response, but I don't care, I don't need anyone, but myself, to validate ME.

Sure, beautiful people might be able to get away with a lot based on the way they look, but there's always a drawback - in the long run, are they valued more for the way they look, or for what they have to offer as people/individuals?

Depends what I planned to be-probably hard as a kid for other kids would tease BUT have seen not so good looking female and male be married very happily to decent looking partners and have known not so great looking people to have jobs that pay much money. Have also known beautiful people with rotten lives So---the moral is looks aren't everything and personality, ambition, drive, character, morals, values and so on count more and affect more if one is successful, happy, fulfilled and at peace within ones spirit.

I think life would be better for you in the long run because you would probably have an easier time knowing who your true friends are. The beautiful people have lots of people who like them just because they are good looking. However, they have a hard time knowing who loves them for who they are and not what they look like.

I have seen a lot of ugly married couples and they seem to be the happiest because they chose eachother for who they are and not what they look like.

Yes. It would be harder and less enjoyable, but...I would have a different personality and I would focus on other things.

Became a super nerd.

Hell yeah. This is a vain *** world, but I believe anybody with a good personality and confidence will be well off regardless of looks.

I think studies have been done proving that taller, better looking people have more opportunity and are much more successful than uglier people.
