There NEVER was a Palestine nor Palestinians. These people were the Arab refugees who went to Jordan expecting to stay there. They were not welcomed and Jordan after WW2 threw them out. They had nowhere to go and resented that the British had given the refugees from Europe some land that was to become Israel. They choose to fight the Israelis. The peace was almost done. Israel had abandoned Gaza to the Palestinians and what did they do?? They destroyed all of the nice homes left for them intact and then elected Hamas who declared they would NEVER deal with Israel and started bombings etc. And you blame Israel. My guess is that you are a white Christian who supported GWB for President and believe all of the nonsense spouted by your religious leaders. When are you going to learn to think for yourself and investigate before you make ranting statements like the "question"? you posed??

No sensible person can state that Israel has been entirely fair with the Palestinians. However, many races throughout history have endured the oppression that the Palestinians have faced, and not all have behaved in the same barbaric manner that they have. The measure of a man, or dare I say a people, is how they respond when they are subject to inequity and suffering. It is in their response that the global community forms the opinion of whether they should be sympathized with or reviled. If the Palestinian community put forth efforts of resistance through mass civil disobedience, the world would have greater empathy for them and support for them. Notice that in places like 1940’s India, and South Africa, where peaceful protest was practiced as opposed to the violent targeting of civilians, we had a greater worldwide outcry in support for these oppressed nations. If Palestinians want to enjoy even a modicum of success that these former colonies of an occupying imperial power now enjoy they should emulate them, instead of imitating villainy of medieval Islamic insurrections.

The Israelis were given a piece of deserted swamp land with not a damn thing on it. A couple of small tribes were parked there and were moved. No big deal. You act like they took building, and businesses and your livelihood. They didn't. They did however make something out of nothing. They worked and they built and look what they've made. What have you done. All we ever see on TV is everyone massed, trying to climb a wall with a machine gun in their hands, and cheering when you elect yet another terrorist who you think is going to deliver the goods. When in fact they start their own skimming of the wealth just like Arafat did, and screw you guys. When are you going to learn. If you want peace, get rid of the terrorist. Ask the UN to help you set up businesses, show the world something.....anything.....But Israel will still be there. This is yet another new century. Move on.

I hate to say but history does not support the opinion that Palestinians were there first. Research the history of occupation if you do not believe me. This land has been fought over since biblical times really. And of these two groups of people, the Israeli's were there first.

It is an on-going war with no end in sight I am afraid.

the Israelis have put up with enough of Palestine's crap....the Palestinians should give back their kidnapped Israeli soldier, convince the Hezbollah to give up their prisoners, and then HOPE that Israel still doesn't drop a bomb on their butts....

Palenstinians are a made-up people. They never existed until after WWII. And if Egypt, Jordan, and surrounding countries with their brother Arabs don’t want them, and won’t let them in, then why should Israel?

They should settle down, renounce violence, work hard, and improve themselves. They should patrol themselves, stopping all violence. They should accept that Israel has a claim to that land that goes back thousands of years.

Hundreds of thousands of Arabs live peacefully within Israel. The Pallies could too, if they were willing to.

Maybe they could move to Sandi Arabia, or Iran, or Iraq, or maybe Syria...I didn't mention Jordan because Jordon killed about 20,000 Palestinians a few years ago. Looks like the other muslin countries don't even want their own kind! What a joke!

Why does Palestine require all of the land?

2006-07-17 18:55:25 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

stop bringing destruction upon their heads.
Think about it, the Jews were there first!
As much as I can't stand the Jews(thinking God still cares about them after they abandoned the covenant), I really do not understand why the Palestinians keep irritating them.
Why don't they all come to the U.S.? You could live in L.A., and own your own businesses and treat your vendors like dirt!
