Thousands of impressionabe children heard Our President utter the S word for that disgusting excretory function. He didn't intend it to be heard by millions, but it was, just like CBS had no intention of exhibiting the disgusting natural human breast of Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl halftime show. Yet it happened, and CBS was fined, because the disgusting natural human breast compromised America's Moral Fibre. And now the President has committed basically the same infraction. Should he be fined for uttering such gross profanity?

The point is that the media fell all over itself, and so did the FCC, because of the bare breast of Janet Jackson. Of course there's no reason to care that Mr. Bush uttered the S word, but there wasn't any reason to care about Jackson's breast, either. Its absurd that either case gets any attention in the press. But if it was important enough to America's moral fiber to fine CBS for showing (accidentally) a human breast, surely it is just as important to fine Mr. Bush for uttering a filthy 4 letter word for a filthy disgusting bodily function.

Of course its mindlessly trivial, but so was blowing the Janet Jackson bare breast so far out of proportion. I do not care that President Bush swears, its a free country. What I DO object to is having the facade presented that he is a perfect Godlike proxy for Christ here on Earth--that he is under command from God Himself. He's not! He has a reputation for storming around the sacred White House, swearing up a blue streak. This was one time he got caught.

There's a difference here: Us hearing the president was unintentional (he thought the microphone was off). With Justin and Janet Jackson, that WAS intentional (it is not a "wardrobe malfuction" if someone rips it off).

as a results of fact he's a war-time president. All previous presidents in the time of a war went interior the direction of a similar component too. Roosevelt swore alot and all and sundry had to make a great deal of it. Bush is under plenty stress and scrutiny precise now. it somewhat is fairly unfair. he's only human, yet there are constantly human beings available only waiting to leap on his each and every observe. i think of he's doing the final he can under the situations. so a methods as Clinton is going, he have been given away with alot yet many did no longer and nonetheless don't be conscious of roughly it. He replaced into no longer as helpful as President Bush is. Many concept and nonetheless do think of of Clinton as a shaggy dog tale.

I'd think it would be hillarious if the FCC tried. Maybe Colin Powell's son (who is the head of the FCC) will decide that the Administration's treatment of the general deserves a little spanking and they will get him for being a vulgarian over an open mic.

By the way, does he pray to Jesus with that mouth? Oh, the humanity!

With all that is going on in the world why are you dwelling on that one word, spoken in a private conversation when the president didn't realize he could be heard? You who is without sin (has never cursed) cast the first stone. Personally, I think the media should have just left it alone. Isn't there enough turmoil in the world without worrying about the president saying "s**t!"

He shouldn't even be a president but he is. He should be in jail but he isn't. So why would the world care about him saying a curse word, when he's already had 1000's of deaths on his hands without concequences.

Like everyone's been saying- it was al. I think he's wayyy to smart to say something like that if he thought there was even a slight chance it would be public.

He didn't say it on TV. TV networks showed it, putting them at fault. Plus they censored it so nevermind, nobody's at fault.
