We all have read books or seen shows that tell of success and what it is, but what is your own idea of success? I ask this question to get a look at John/Jane Everyman's POV. Instead of Dr. Phil, Oprah, etc. As i recent college graduate this has been on my mind since leaving college and joining the "real world'. So give me your thoughts.

I once saw a sticker on a car which read 'He who dies with the most toys-wins.' To him he was successful,to me he wasn't and very sad into the bargain.
Success to me is finding that one thing we are all searching for that absolute truth which settles for us our destiny and gives us ultimately the peace we need inside ourselves by knowing it.
Every other success is just a smaller search looking for that peace. Success never lasts but ultimate peace does.

I think success is reaching or being on track to reach one or more goals. Therefore I would say that without goals and effort to achieve them there can be no success.

For example, one of my goals is to develop residual income sufficient to cover my living expenses. When I reach that goal or perhaps a milestone of 25% of my expenses, I will start feeling successful with that goal.
