What you can do is ask your wife for a list of what gifts she want to get and give her shopping money for it! A day at the mall where the husband doesn't nag to go home while watching the kids would be heaven!

lots of love, honesty, respect, kindness, cherishing her, putting her on a pedestal. In otherwords, constatnly treat her like a queen.
As for gifts that can be bought, I would suggest flowers (her favorite kind), spa package for a day to herself--especially if she has a job and or has kids, jewelry (doesn't have to be too expensive)--if she's into that kind of thing, things that she may hint to you about that she wants, something to add to her collection of whatever it is she collects (if she collects anything). Those are just the ideas off of the top of my head.

Give her a string of pearls. That says that you think she is a class act, she is elegant, she is a thing of beauty, she is worthy of the best. Make them a NICE string-not something from Wal Mart. Go all out & get her earrings to match.

A surprise night on the town, plan a romantic dinner - a small lil gift- and flowers of course- treat her like a queen

A day of relaxation and no chores. Someone to clean the house and fix dinner while she goes and gets beautiful and enjoys all the benefits of a spa. Well thats whay I would like and a chocolate cake

One of the best gifts I gave my girlfriend was something I created. I got a longggggggg piece of receipt paper and made a seven-foot long list of things I love about her. I put it in a nice box I hand-painted and wrapped it for her. She LOVED it and reads the list everyday.

To mark an occasion its always jewelry, or even art. My husband and I don't exchange birthday gifts we just do something special. Maybe you could take her to a show or a concert.

Take all the photos from the last year, put them in a photo album with captions. My wife loved it.

Anything that you give her that will always put a smile on her face whenever she thinks about it, or looks at it. What does she like? Try maybe a figurine, that has a saying on it of how you feel about her. My husband gives me precious moments, I know the occasions that he bought them for me.
