I like it, but am absolutely awful at it, so i don't play it much. There are a lot of games I'd play before Chess though.

sure..it teaches you to think. Being aware, that if you are black or white, there are two totally different perspectives.

when I was younger, I'd replay the most famous games and seek to understand them. To some extent it's very formulaic, much the way some of the better video games are.
