My doctor released only certain records to me when I asked for a complete copy. None of the notes he had taken were in there.

Freedom of information act.

Get a court order. If you don't trust your doctor... GET A NEW ONE.

Perhaps his notes would be understood only by another doctor. Would he release the entire chart to another physician?

His notes may be part of your chart, but they're his.

Your entire chart must be released to you. It's your chart. Mention 'lawyer' to him.

wouldn't think so, the other doctor needs the input from the old doc.
