If I want to perk up, I have sure fire songs that will make me feel happier or energetic or just make me smile, whereas if I really want to get into some deep emotional feelings, I can enhance them with certain songs too.

Music also has the ability to hold memories for me. Just listening to a song can trigger memories and emotions I felt related to people or events that are associated with a past time when I listened regularly to that music long ago. I immediately can feel again what I was feeling back then, just by listening to the song. I can't usually trigger past emotions to that degree of intensity otherwise.

Why is music so powerful? What is it about it? Do we have some kind of brain-connection that enables music to move us?

And why is it that we can remember the words to songs from YEARS ago, yet damned if we can remember what we said a day ago or even what we ate last week. Why are lyrics ingrained so deeply yet other events barely manage an imprint at all?

The brain thinks in a higher level when we sing or play music..its amazing...like u know Celine Dion? have u ever noticed she sings in good english but has the thickest french accent? its becasue the brain uses more energy when singing.

nicely, a conductor's activity is far less obvious in a professional orchestra than that's in a college of armature team. certainly it includes this: a million. figuring out on the repertiore the orchestra will carry out. 2. analyzing the repertoire (tempos, type selections, non-compulsory section doubling in the winds). 3. If the products the orchestra is appearing are very typical, say, evening on Bald Mountain, sort stuff that all people in the orchestra has performed a lot of circumstances and knows forwards and backwards, then maximum do no longer watch the conductor via fact they do no longer would desire to. They understand what's going to take place. 4. If the orchestra is doing unfamiliar or new works, then maximum will watch the conductor plenty greater via fact the textile is new. 5. Conductors do cue issues like entrances after extensive rests. (frequently wind participant, extraordinarily brass would have 50+ measures of relax, and no person relatively needs to take a seat down there and count selection that.) 6. As reported above, various the time one does not would desire to look on the conductor finished directly to make certain what he's as much as. Corners of the eyes are in many circumstances used. 7. Conductors additionally run the rehearsals.

I don't know why, but it is magical. I think it does something relazing to our brains, the movement of the sound waves or whatever. Especially ones that we like the beats of or the lyrics. When I want to feel better, I listen to Sean Paul's Temperature and We Be Burnin

I am often stressed after school, and listening to these good beats makes me forget it all, and let the music consume me. Snap Yo Fingers by Lil Jon is good too. And Hips don't Lie. I am always singing, everywhere I go, I sing, I just let it consume me and I, being very hyper, feel that it distracts me in that important bit that allows me to concentrate if you know what I mean. Sometimes I don't even realize that I'm singing Unfaithful under my breath!

I sing melodious songs, such as Unfaithful, when I'm at home by myself, so no one can hear me, and it keeps me company, my voice. I sing while working on jigsaw puzzles. I sing Pon De Replay and Gimme That all the time!

When I feel down cause no one loves me (I've never had a boyfriend) or I have a gigantic crush on someone I can never have (Not a celebrity, but perhaps someone I know who will never like me) I listen to If It's Lovin That You Want Part 2. One time when I felt especially in love with this one boy I barely see I listened to that over and over again for hours! Other sappy love songs too, such as Every Time We Touch and stuff like that.

I could go on and on. All day. Crazy In Love is a good one too. I love music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! You describe it best.
I totally feel the same way like right now just chillin and calm I could go for some smooth jazz to listen to. Music is everywhere I go, it is on in the morning when I get up, than I get into my car and blast it all the way to work to energize me than when I get to work I put my ipod on for the day, and when I come from work it's on in the car again than bed time, yep I sleep to smooth jazz. Than we start the day again. I totally agree with the part of remembering the words to a song but can't remember what we said the other day, SO TRUE.
Enjoyed the question.

Do You Believe in Magic
Lovin' Spoonful

Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart
How the music can free her, whenever it starts
And it's magic, if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie
I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll

If you believe in magic don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues
Just go and listen it'll start with a smile
It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
Your feet start tapping and you can't seem to find
How you got there, so just blow your mind

If you believe in magic, come along with me
We'll dance until morning 'til there's just you and me
And maybe, if the music is right
I'll meet you tomorrow, sort of late at night
And we'll go dancing, baby, then you'll see
How the magic's in the music and the music's in me

Yeah, do you believe in magic
Yeah, believe in the magic of a young girl's soul
Believe in the magic of rock and roll
Believe in the magic that can set you free
Ohh, talking 'bout magic

Do you believe like I believeDo you believe in magic
Do you believe like I believeDo you believe, believer
Do you believe like I believeDo you believe in magic
{Fade}

Music is something different, and the lyrics can contain so much emotion and meaning that it effects our minds and spirits in such a way. Some songs can change us, or mean something very special to us, so we remember them for years and years past. Music is truly amazing. It has changed my life quite a bit also. It is probably one of the things that keeps me going.

music is magical because it makes us feel free. The rhythm lets us let go, we listen to words sometimes and it just suits us for that moment. The best part is allowing yourself to get caught up in the magic and dance and sing as loud and as crazy as you want. Music to me is like having a friend there all the time, it will cheer you up when you are feeling down, make you feel stronger when you need a push, celebrate with you, and mourn with you.

God made all sorts of things powerful for each of our senses. There's the sight of a sunset...mega powerful for the eyes
There's the sound of a full orchestra...awesomely powerful for the ears
There the feeling of sex...obsessively powerful for the touch
Theres the taste of a fresh picked ripe strawberry...truly powerful for the taste
There's the smell of a fresh rain in the pine forest...serenely powerful for the nose.
