Every where there seems to be fewer and fewer people out there with little to no common sense. where is it going or where has it gon..Are parents not teaching this any more... Common since says if there is an accident take precautions and help out...Yet no one now does this they just stand and watch.. If a child makes a mess the parents don't enforce them to clean it up or else they beat them to clean it up and then yell and scream at them because they did it wrong...What has happenend????Common sense says the child will do as he is taught and he learns by obsearving...people common sense PLEASE.... my wise mother told me once, 'DON'T BE AN INTELLECTUAL FOOL!! INTELLIGENCE WITHOUT COMMON SENSE IS USELESS!!'.
i never forgot that ~~ because no matter how smart (or smart-alec) i was, common sense gives one the ability to discern between good and bad choices/decisions. I agree with you.

Sadly, I believe that the gentleman above me referring to the elitist is correct. I have noticed that for a long time the system in general was meant to favor certain individuals, falling along bourgeoisie and proletariat lines. It is far easier to have an ignorant person working for you at minimum wage than an intelligent one. Although the intelligent man will do a better job, he will want more money, more benefits, more purpose, it is the intelligent ones who are difficult to control. Thats why the slaves were kept from reading. So to keep the economy going and stable, there must be those who are intelligent and those who are fools. It works the same way all across the spectrum, not everyone can be intelligent and not everyone can be leaders, it would be too dangerous for the powers that be. I only hope I have not offended anyone in the process of my explanation.

I believe that common sense comes with real world experience. The problem is that these days, Kids sit in the air conditioned bedroom playing video games and chatting online. Back in the day, kids would go outside every single day, and meet with half a dozen friends and get in trouble or get hurt. That is learning common sense the hard way. Its not hppening any more. Thats another thing...parents are so damn protective of their kids they make it impossible to get hurt, which sounds good, but then the kid never learns anything.

I always say Common Sense is the one thing that people lack these days..Especially when driving..Common Sense would tell you if you are going 10 mph and a car behind you is going 65mph...Dont pull out in front of them and cause an accident! The world would be a much happier place if we just used more C.S...screw teaching your kids manners...Teach them Common Sense!!

Sweetie do not blame the parents.. I teach my child that common sense due to the fact its God gift to us. See, when children are out the sight of their parents the act up like everyone else. Are you telling us that everything you have done in your life was pleasing to your parents and to GOD? Once in awhile everyone act like the do not have common sense!!!
