Sounds loke your mucus plug may be loosening. Amniotic fluid is clear, could be blood specked. 39 weeks, I'd start timing contractions and call your ob.

Sounds like the baby has settled into the birth position, lower in your pelvis. This is normal and it is very uncomfortable.

Amniotic fluid is clear, but it is fluid. It isn't mucus. You could be loosing your mucus plug though. That might explain the discharge. If you notice that your underwear is wet, like fluid, then you may want to call your doctor. You can do the sniff test. Sounds gross, but amniotic fluid smells sweet, not like urine.

Sometimes before labor starts, you will have diarrhea, it's the bodies way of cleaning its self out before the big event.

Call your doctor if you are worried. They will probably check you, or tell you to go to labor and delivery to be monitored and checked. You can also go to labor and delivery to be checked. They will monitor you for a while and do a litmus test to see if it is fluid you are leaking. Good Luck!!!!!!!

Amniotic fluid is clear, watery and smells sort of sweet. It's not mucousy at all. If it's thick, it's not amniotic fluid. It can also be greenish if the baby has had a bowel movement in utero. If you experience this, get to a hospital IMMEDIATELY. Your baby can become very sick if this isn't taken care of.

With my first child, I had my water broken at the hospital. When I stood up, it didn't feel like I was peeing, like I see so many other people say. My son was very low, and his head was blocking the opening to my uterus, so I just trickled. Imagine you're on your period and having a VERY heavy flow day. You know how when you use pads (not tampons) sometimes you can feel the blood trickling out, how it's very warm and wet? This is what it felt like for me.

Diarrhea like symptoms? Do you actually have diarrhea, or just cramps like when you have diarrhea? Diarrhea can actually be a sign of impending labor. Your body's way of cleaning itself out to avoid any "accidents" on the delivery table. My contractions actually felt like that...like the absolute worst menstrual cramps you've ever had, multiplied by 100. This was on my upper abdomen. In my lower abdomen, I had strong diarrhea cramps...like you have with food poisoning or stomach flu. When you have these cramps, does your uterus contract and get hard at the same time along with the cramps? If so, this sounds like a contraction to me.

Does this clear mucus have a trace of brown stuff in it. If so this is your cervix plug which is just another way of saying the baby will be coming very soon. Amniotic fluid actually looks like light urine because that's exactly what it is fetal urine. Your next appointment your ob will tell how dilated you are.

Amniotic fluid looks like water(ie:term water breaks). I would check with my doctor if you are concerned. If your pains become constant and steadily worse and your stomach begins to harden then get to the hospital if the pain in your cervix continues or gets worse see your doctor. Relax as much as possible and limit movement etc. Good Luck

The clear mucous is most likely just the normal vaginal discharge that many PG women have.

If your water had broken, you'd most likely have a pretty constant trickle of fluid.

You may be leaking. When my water broke for my first daughter I thought that I had peed my pants a little. You may want to call the doctor or hospital and run it past them. Besides, aren't you just about ready to get that baby out?

Walk, walk, walk. Walking really helps to speed up delivery. You shoud really contact your doctor if you think your water broke. It increases risks of infection.

Maybe it is your plug? it was painful for me, too, when I started to seperate, and the mucus plug started to come out.
