i felt it was easier, because not as many surprises for me! but, each labor "can" be different too. don't get all stressed about it though, u have been through it once, usually no big surprises the 2nd time.
congratulations, and take care!!!

Well, mine were so different that it's hard to say. My first, my water broke so labor started naturally, with my second, I was induced.
My first was weird though.. had preterm at 27 weeks that was stopped, then I was on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy (36 weeks gestation). The day I was taken off my meds and bedrest, my water broke. My daughter was born 9 hrs later.
With my second, at my 38 week apt, I was dialated to a 5, 80% effaced, bag was bulging and babies head was engaged. My BP was a little high, so my doctor sent me over to be induced. I got my epidural right after I got the hospital, they hadn't even started pitocin yet, course I was having contractions anyways, so it was a good thing- and my daughter was born 5 hrs later.
My second daughter seemed to come out better, with less tearing and healing time afterwards. Breastfeeding also came easier the second time.
From a medical standpoint, usually labor is shorter with subsiquent pregnancies, and babies are usually delivered easier. As far as pain, I don't know.. hurts the same as before, that's what drugs are for!! ;)

The pain was probably about the same. The labour went quicker, and #2 was gonna come whether the Dr. was ready or not. Due to the fact that I lived through the pain of #1 and was now having #2, I at least knew I wasn't going to die from it.

Quicker and easier, but my second was 3 weeks early and my firsts was on his due date. I did not have the after pain with my first, but I sure did with the second!

That's what they say. My second was faster but I had harder labor because I was induced. 12 hours with #1, 5 hours with #2..

Quicker. The baby slips out a lot easier. I've had four, all natural.
