Hi Rebel -- boy, does that bring back memories -- one of my brother's was always hearing that. It's to get the kid's attention, and it always means they're in for it. The formal full name gets the attention every time (and their parents probably had the same thing done to them)! It means, "This is serious and you had better get over here RIGHT NOW!"

It's supposed to get their attention. Most kids will recognize that when a parent calls them by their full name, they are definitely in big trouble.

My daughter has four names.
She knows that the more names I use, the higher the level of trouble. It's pretty much a handy punishment measurement tool for her.

One its like a total warning u r in deep ****! lol The I think its cause we totally need to vent so we just let it rip! I do it cuz my mother use to do it and it scared me half to death so I hoped it did the same for my son! lol BUT it doesnt really bother him so I gave up!

I can't STAND hearing people do that to their children!!! It made me dislike my name when I was a kid. I use my daughter's full name to tell her how wonderfully cool she is. 'Isabella Lillie Pauline Baldwin Wilson, you are the coolest person I have ever known!' :-)
