less tolerant? absolutely

but we're also more "scared" and "on edge", thanks to the media

North Korea tests missiles - suddenly we are considering them as a military threat

Iran wants a power plant - suddenly we are considering an invasion

Terrorist activity in the Middle East - suddenly we are moving to back Israel's invasions

the scariest thing is when the media attempts to encourage invading a country like Iran when they possess NO nuclear technology and pose NO threat to us

Yes you are wrong. We had been using the diplomatic route for 15 years in regards to Iraq, we even used the UN. Diplomacy failed and so did the UN. The UN did however get pretty wealthy off the deal. I'm thinking we did our part. Try picking up a history book and getting the facts. 9/11 was only the end of an extremely long line of terrorist attacks on Americans around the world and America. So again...you need to do your homework. Do you really really honestly think that terrorist can be negotiated with? We have had the tolerance of saints, so yes you are wrong. Very very wrong.

Wow! Are there no libraries where you live but hey you are connected right? The USA was birthed/founded on intolerance. You should really get a grip on the term Manifest Destiny and then put the word Global in front of it. Diplomacy is a cocktail party where one ambassador informs the other about upcoming population fluctuations. You are not wrong you are naive.

why should we try diplomatic way's of settling things after all those poor innocent people lost their lives. Why should we take anymore chances if they mess with the United states then we will use force. They had there chances and they took it way to far. So now they will all be dealt with accordingly

Judging from the poll results from the last three elections, America is less tolerant of “Blame America First” liberals. They keep costing democrats the elections!

I think the people of the USA are tolerant and compassionate but the government is full of Nazis bent on the rape of the planet for oil and profit.

Diplomacy against terrorists, that genius. Look at the Middle East right now and all the diplomacy used there and where has it gotten? Absolutley nothing.

Yes. The exaggerated revived patriotism in this country has turned the U.S. into judgemental people without an understanding of other cultures.

In the case of the terrorists there is no way to be tolerant of them. If you show them tolerance they take it to be a sign of weakness and therefore more likely to attack.
