Yes and No though. In theory it's an excellent idea, but in reality there are some issues. This is because qs like "How old are you?" would then becomes hugely rewarding to ask, as everyone answers - easy two points for answerers, and that would be an easy 80 or 90 for the asker, whilst the asker who asked a sensible intellectual question, and got twenty-five answers would get far less points, for a far better question.
There would have to be some kind of filter for that, else everyone would start asking Qs that didn't require any thought, just to tally up.

I think a point for every answer is too much, I do agree that you should get points for putting in a question which attracts a lot of interest and answers.
Maybe you could get 1 point for every 10 answers you get

yes I have always thought you should get points for answers, maybe 2 points for 10 answers ,4 for 20 and so on, how do we tell yahoo this?

Well technically it awards participation.. They dont have to award points at all but for some reason the points make things competitive.
As for points on questions.. theres no garuntee but it would probably slant the types of questions that get asked. Since they cost a point you might but a little more deliberate thought into asking.

I think that would be a good idea. But what stinks is when, a person has a tie in voting that neither get the points at least give them both 5!!! good question..

yes. someone told me there is a suggestion "box" at the bottom of the screne and to send a message to Yahoo so that we can get points like that.
