OK theres this song from sometime in the ninties, and I don't know the words or the name of the song/band. Not a whole lot to work with. All I know is this riff that I hum all the time. It almost sounds like the star wars song...Doo Doot Doo Doo Doot Doo Doo...Its not a guitar that does it maybe a synth. Its driving me crazy. I don't know how else to find out what it is. If you don't know the answer but know where else I might be able to find out, that would be helpful.

Its rock I guess maybe some techno. Its a male lead singer. the doo doot doo doo part isn't sung its played so its not semi-charmed life.

I know this will sound crazy but try going to the Yahoo Launch Radio site and click the station for 1990s rock. Maybe it will eventually play there for you.
