yes, they are. ghosts are invisible. vampires are creepy, but charismatic. mummies are ancient zombies in bandages who have to be woken up by curses, and zombies are recently dead or sort of recent, depending on how you look at it. who can only come back to life through some chemical spell, weird atmospheric phenomenon, or aliens.
vampires are the undead, but when it comes down to the basics, they really are reanimated corpses. so all these guys are dead. vampires must live off of your aura, sexual energy, psychic energy, or the most popular, blood to sustain their dead body.

No. Vampires and, if I'm not mistaken, zombies, are undead.
Vampires cannot come out during the daylight or they fry in the light and die.
Mummies are dead. They are only those dead who have had their insides removed and been wrapped up in cloth.
Ghosts are spirits of the troubled dead, those who will not or cannot move on to the next plane.
Don't know much about zombies, never been into them that much, sorry.

They are similar but not the same. Ghosts are the spirits of people that are dead, vampires are a form of demon the overtakes the human body and preserves it, mummies are kinda dead and usually stay that way (w/ the exception of The Mummy Returns), and Zombies are dead reanimated corpses that still decompose.

No, there are differences.
Ghosts are the spirits of those who have passed on but haven't left this earth for some reason or another:
1) Don't know they're dead
2) Have unfinished business of some sort
3) Are afraid to move on
Vampires are (according to movies) the "living dead", feed on blood to survive, and also tend to have inhuman abilities. They typically only come out at night and are allergic to sunlight, garlic and sometimes, silver. They also retain their intelligence and according to some, are a sort of demon.
According to other beliefs, vampires are living people who drain others of psychic energy or drink blood.
Mummies are the mummified dead who have been reanimated and are typically Egyptian. They may or may not retain intelligence and are usually brought back because of some sort of curse.
In reality, they are simply people who died, was mummified, and are going to stay dead.
Zombies are those who have died and been reanimated.
The body itself may have been brought back to life without the spirit returning and it does not retain intellegence. In many movies, zombies are mindless and feed on human flesh.
In some cases, the spirit may have been brought back to the body which is then reanimated- this sort of zombie may or may not be mindless. According to voodoo belief, a zombie is one whose soul is trapped by a voodoo priest and must do what their master commands.

No, the distinctions are:
Ghosts are dead people who never left the earth, and are wandering around frustrated because they neglected to do all they should have while they were alive
Mummies are people who were honored after death by being preserved so their bodies would last "forever". Later, stories of resurrecting mummies came about, so those creatures are the dead come back to life.
Vampires are the "undead". So they started as living creatures, but were turned into immortal creatures who are neither alive nor dead, and must feast upon the living to continue to exist.
Clearly, people are fascinated by death, and especially the concept of folks turning into immortal creatures who defy death, since being dead isn't all that appealing.

in a way yes but there are also differences;
1. vampires
vampires die but resurrect at night ONLY. and must drink blood and are unable to eat or drink anything else. Vampires also usually retain their intellect
2.mummies
the dead but preserved bodies of Egyptian royalty who are usually resurrected for the purpose of full filling the curse on whomever disturbs their tomb. may or may not retain intellect. however usually move slowly due to bidding not being whole
3. zombies
couple of different versions of zombies all are slow moving and of diminished intelligence due to death.
movie version: eats human flesh, then moving to target brains specifically in sequels
voodoo version.: someone whose soul is traped by a voodoo priest and must do as his master commands
4 ghosts
Ghosts have no material bodies which separates them from the rest. some have a limited ability to interact with physical objects, or perhaps only to cause fluctuations in room temp and electromagnetic fields. several reasons for being a ghost
1. don't realize you are dead
2. unfinished business here on earth
3. a soul not good enough for heaven but not destined for hell

Not really.Vampires("real" ones) are living people who feel they have a need to injest blood. Ghosts are spirits. Mummies are preserved bodies and zombies(the "real" ones) were actually people who were drugged and burried so that they could be dug up and kidnapped as a slave in Jamaca

ghosts are not dead people but everything that has lived.
mummies are cursed souls who disobeyed from my understading.
zombies are controled by powerful magiks
so zombies and mummies are only dead people and ghosts are more than just people.
