Surface was a mid-season replacement show. It'll most likely be back late 06 or early 07 season. I hope the DVD gets released from the show. I really enjoyed Surface.

Surface was NOT a midseason replacement. It was a perfectly good show. So was Invasion, another show that's not coming back.
Unfortunately neither ended up being Lost, which is the show and genre they tried to mimic. Too bad. There's not enough good stuff on television for the networks to throw out decent shows.

The same reason why a lot of other shows that debuted last year won't be coming back in the fall--the ratings simply weren't good enough.
