Broadcast in Britain in the mid eightes, it had a kid who was a whizz with computers and robots, and used them ti save the day in a Knight Rider style. It was live action, no aanimation/ CGI.
I just can't remember the title. It went out on Saturdays at about 5pm, and you'd have been about 10 years old if you watched it.

Tomorrow people was mid 70s (before my time), and they had telepathic powers.

I think this might be what you are referring to. I found a show that was called "Whiz Kids" that was on 1983-1984. Below is the link to the description.
