I just don't get it!
People hate Jews, Iranians, Gays, blacks, etc, etc. So why woudl we want to fidn life on other planets? To enslave them? to steal from their planet? I pray we don't ever find it. We are not ready.

There is always the feeling of incompleteness in ourselves. As human beings, we are constructed to want more. And in that instinct, comes the need for exploration. In finding life among the stars, we find that we aren't some anomoly never to be replicated elsewhere. Think if you were the only one on earth, wouldn't you give anything you had to visit someone on a neighboring planet? It is at the pit of our minds that we endeavor to meet a people of another world. No one says what we are doing is right, and no one can ever know if it is or not, but it is all we got, and so we pursue this goal.

They are lost and maybe they are looking for God but if they used all of that money to help the hungry and homeless people here on earth i think the world would be a better place and all the money the world spends on destroying each other but this will never happen to bad so sad.

Perhaps another reason is so that we can have someplace to go to when we waste all of the Earth's resources and overpopulate the earth. Just a thought.

Human nature is naturally inquisitive. It seems just another 'race' to see who can be first to find something new. But I agree - we have enough problems with our own species without finding more to fight with and discriminate against. Sadly, its just the world we live in.

Good point!! It's true, we can't even tolorate each others different beleifs!! We should stay far away From any alieans. For all we know they could be studying us right now, and to them we are the "Aliens"
