Just last week I took 2 pregnancy tests at home with EPT, and both were positive. I was supposed to have my period on 13th like last month, but no sign so now I know it's for sure I am pregnant like the test shows. Anyway this is going into Week 4 from the time my hub and I conceived the baby. Last week I started to feel a little nausea throughout the day, not too bad even now it's not too bad. I eat some crackers or sip some tea with ginger and it's very mild. I mostly have indigestion/bloating/gas in my tummy. It's as if I am nauseous but I have to keep swallowing my own saliva and then i feel my little burps. Does anyone have this during first month or so, is it a part of the nausea or something? I heard I can take Tums, as I take them at night before bedtime to relieve my tummy. I feel as if I felt the first week I started OrthoTri Cyclen 2 years ago. When i started that birth control, i used to get this indigestion before my body got used to the hormones, same for me now

You are actually probably 6 weeks pregnant, which is when most women start to experience nausea, morning sickness, etc. To calculate how far along you are, count from the first day of your last menstrual cycle, and that will let you know how far along you are... not when you ovulated. (So you are 2 weeks further along than you think you are.) I would suggest going to a doctor as soon as possible to get checked out.

Here are some things to help with nausea and vomiting.

1- Eat small, frequent meals every 2-3 hrs- 2 to 3 ounces of protein and carbohydrates are the best.

2- Eat saltines or bread before getting out of bed in the morning and throughout the day as needed.

3- Eat or drink something sweet- fruit, fruit juice- before going to bed and before getting out of bed in the morning.

4- Avoid foods with offensive or strong oders, citrus fruit, greasy and spicy foods and fatty foods.

5- Increase your rest.

6- At bedtime, try 1/2 unisom tablet or 100 mg B6 twice a day.

7- If none of this helps, call your doctor. There are meds they can put you on to help.

As far as bloating is concerned, get and read "what to expect when your expecting" and follow the pregnancy diet. It should help. You are allowed to take tums through out the day also, not just at night, so take them if you need them.

Nausea and bloating are very common during the first trimester of pregnancy. Try eating small meals and lay down afterwards. Thin slices of sour green apple help as well as a basic diet. Congratulations and good luck!

four weeks seems too soon to be experiancing nausea. You might want to recheck your dates. Start from the first day of your last period...I drank ginger ale to help me with my morning sickness. Thank God it only lasted two weeks. Tums work great for heart burn and indigestion. Good luck
