my mom says that i should not listen to megadeth, an excellent metal band. what should i do?

Actually, you should talk to your mom and ask why she feels so uncomfortable with you listening to it. Let her know how you feel about the music, and maybe you could come up with a compromise.

Listen to it, just don't let her know. Where your headphones. Keep your radio low in the car. Whatever. Just make your listening habits YOUR business, not hers. Music is very personal and subjective. I'm sure there's music that she listens to that you would prefer she did not. It's like ... "Mom, please don't listen to Clay Aiken!" lol Anyway, it's no one's business what you like...not even your mom's. Music is not evil...people are. I know you love and respect your mother, but for music you need freedom. By virtue of you asking this question, I'd personally venture say you are mature enough to make your own decisions as to what you want here. Good luck and only fool your mom on this... not on the important stuff.

but if it will make your mom feel better dont listen to it around her
