I'm having a lot of trouble coming up a best and worst....there are lots of things in the pro and con categories.
I love the Bill of Rights w/ freedom of speech and freedom from religion being my top 2...but not all things are applied to everyone equally all the time.
The worst thing...the hypocrisy maybe? We say one thing but do another...apply standards to other people then don't maintain them ourselves.
I know there are better ones...

The best things about America are our freedoms and the fact our military is the best on the planet. We are so well-defended and so cabaple of annihilating any other country at will that's it's pathetic.
The bad thing is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Movie stars make way too much money as do professional athletes. People like my Mom can work 45 years at the same job and finally be able to retire and now not even be able to afford her diabetes medicine. While Jim Carrey and all these other over-paid jokers win the lottery everytime they make a movie even though they're ALREADY rich beyond belief. It's sickening that my Mom will probably die of her disease because she's broke (as am I) and all these damned actors and athletes are concerned about is which Ferrari to buy next. God DAMN that pisses me off to no end...

The best thing about America is our beautiful country. We have the right to worship as we wish. We can be anything if we have the education and ambition. The worst thing about America is the back stabbing political bickering that is going on here in our Congress.

I'll assume you mean the US.
The best thing is that people really do mostly have a chance to pursue happiness. Also, it really is at least theoreticly possible for poor people to become rich. Also, if you don't bother anyone mostly nobody will bother you and will let you go about your business. If you have a few dollars, you can do what you want to pretty much.
The worst thing is that people get stuck working at jobs they hate for most of their lives most of the time. Also, no health care for many people. Also, many people don't have money and can't have much fun. And many people are stressed out and rushing around and can't relax.

Best: Bounty in every aspect of life except for healthcare. Gorgeous women would also rank among the best things as well.
Worst: Passivists, bleeding hearted liberals, over compassionate and over sympathetic morons, hippy activists, and ultra sensitive cry babies who get offended about every thing under the sun.

best thing is our freedom and not having to go hungry like other countries. the worst is the president and his stupid decisions when it comes to getting something done. He acts like he doesn't even know what's going on and never has gotten anything accomplished.
