Download Primo PDF from http://primopdf.com/

You can then simply select PrimoPDF as your printer and "print" any document. It will then be converted to PDF automatically.

You can get a free website at http://www.WebStarts.com

You could use pdf redirect. It acts like a printer. So to convert a file to a pdf, go to file->print and select pdf redirect from the printer list. This will convert it to a pdf file. Best of all, it is free.

go to www.primopdf.com and download the pdf writer (it's free). Then print the document to the primopdf printer (will be in your printers dropdown), and it will save the document as a pdf file.

You have to get Adobe Acrobat Professional. Unfortanatly, it's not free. You can try it though if you've just got one thing you want to do. I ordered the CD but never used it, it's free so go ahead and get it.
