My understanding is that all AC adapters support 110/220v 50/60 cycle current. However, the physical design of the US-type 3-pronged male plug (with ground) needs an "adapter". Is the Russian "adapter" similar to any European country?

Although it's not exactly the same, it is very similar and all European 3 prong male plugs will fit into Russian sockets (but not the other way around - at least in France I had to adjust Russian male plugs, because of the "ground" rod on the French socket).

You can buy an adapter for US plug to Russian (European)socket. The cost can vary from 17 to 50 roubles (0.50 cents - USD 2).
The other option is to cut-off US plug and attach Russian (European) one. The cost will be almost the same, but you will have to do reverse operation when are back to US :)

You'll be able to buy an adaptor at the airport, but it'll be more expensive there. I bought mine at my travel doctor's surgery.

Just a suggestion from one who's suffered the inconvenience, take a multi power board (dunno what you call them in America, but one of those contraptions you can plug lots of appliances into). That way, you'll only need one adaptor to use 4 appliances at the same time. If only I could get one to fit my NZ plugs!

i have self belief it really is 120V purely, looking on the education guide, it provides no indication it may artwork on 230V, which i'm particular may be suggested someplace. you may favor to understand the wattage, so that you need to get the superb transformer for it, that ought to value a touch £one hundred, because it really is a extreme wattage one.you may also favor the superb plug for it, because it ought to require an earth connection. it ought to not meet uk electric powered criteria, so assuming it really is intercepted by skill of customs (you'll likely be in charge for import duty), they could elect to open it and confiscate it, because it fails those criteria. i have considered an similar layout interior the mini doughnuts makers you observe on the extreme street interior the united kingdom. a minimum of no doubt about them operating right here.
