It has to be the brain surgeon because the rocket scientist doesn't impress Shania Twain much.

I'd say it's rocket scientist. the main reason for it is the difference in studying and learning. where doctors have everything already known the only thing they have to do is learn it good, scientists have to use their head everyday to find solutions sometimes even to most ridiculous problems.

Unfortunately they are both evenly matched. But both occupy the same level of social respect.
However, there is one that trumps them both.
The Rocket Surgeon.
For years Rockets have passed away after their missions, unable to find an appropriate person to aid them in the blunt force trauma they recieve on impact, or able to soothe away the severe burns when they re-enter earth's orbit.
I cannot recall the number of brave rockets who have fallen to forward our knowledge of wasting money on stupid weightless experiments.
I salute thee proud rocket. You're not only a hero, you're my brother.

A librarian, or a bookseller. The titles you named are specialists. Any generalist is more likely to be widely intelligent; more likely to survive out of context .

Neither. They do two completely different things that require different types of knowledge. It is like comparing rocks and trees. The two aren't really able to be compared.

I wouldn't try to classify people's abilities according to their occupations. There are some taxi drivers who hold Ph D's from university.

They are both smart in different ways and in different fields. You really can't compare intelligence like that!
