When you kill 99.9% of bacteria you leave .1% of superbacteria which means you'll have a whole lot of resistant bacteria in a matter of hours. Polio became so rampant only because we got better sewers. I'm not advocating going back to raw sewage, but there has to be a balance. Some antibacterial drugs are so strong they virtually kill the person in order to eradicate the infection.

Because other people are pigs, and it makes me feel better to wipe things off a bit. I've seen so many people use the restroom and leave without washing their hands. I've seen people sneeze into their hands, then wipe their hands on the handle of the shopping cart. Ick!

Until absolutely everyone tries to disinfect absolutely everything, the super bugs of which you speak won't develop. I just don't want everyone else's cooties crawling all over me!

I suppose you mean all the sprays and chemicals, but they're not really needed. Soap and hot water will make things plenty sanitary without getting ridiculous.
Also lots of good natural ways to take care of everyday things. Orange oil: mix about a tsp. per quart of water in a sprayer and keep around the kitchen. It makes an excellent air freshener, and it kills bugs. Ants won't cross a line sprayed with orange oil.

I agree with you. My brother thinks the reason he has a great immune system is because he chews his fingernails and gets immunities from all the gunk he takes in. Raise your children in a bacteria free zone and the first good germ that comes along is going to slay them. Dirt is good for you in moderate amounts.

Because people don't understand that the human immune system is capable of handling almost all of the common household germs. All that is happening is we are gradually weakening the human immune system to the point that people won't be able to fight off the flu.

I never use Anti-Bacterial soaps or sprays.

I am also in the belief that we only make stronger bugs.

I also only get a Antibiotic shot as the last resort.
