if the European Union had tried to
work with the democratically elected Hamas government from the outset?

The US worked with Fatah and Arafat. The US works with all sorts of "bad apples" including Israel (founded on terrorism) who is ethnically cleansing the Palestinians and stealing thier land as we sit here.

Its "cute" that you get so upset over a question on answers.yahoo.com. Go shoot a small animal or something tough-guy. Take a cold shower.

You people will never get it! Hamas doesn't want to work with Israel. How many times has that been tried. Diplomacy will never work with these people and the quicker the rest of the world figures that out the safer we will be. It's time for Israel (and the US if needed) to unleash hell and turn the desert into glass!

Yes, let's work with the group that's publically declared it's intent to end Israel.

Are you on crack? I don't care who's democratically elected. The second you wish a people dead, you're no longer entitled to fair and appropriate responses from the world community.

Now, I know what you're going to say... Blah blah blah, US, blah blah blah.

But for once, you can't blame the US. You have to blame yourselves. Your government is responsible for the lack of aid. Period. Not because of who you are.

The people of palestine have made their bed, now they have to sleep in it.

And I don't doubt there will be a few jumps of logic to somehow come up with a reason why this is the US's fault.

Oh, I'm sorry, I mean the Zionist's army.

ROFL.

Even though Hamas was democratically elected....that doesn't make their Ideologies right.....Hamas IS after-all a known supporter and promulgator of terror and terrorism....they shouldn't be recognized as legitimate, I like the stance that America doesn't negotiate with terrorists.....you give them an inch and they will think you are weak....so NO, you demand from hamas, Hezbollah and AL-queda....you don't negotiate!

No, it would not have mattered. Hamas has publicly said they would like to see the complete destruction of Israel. You cannot deal with irrational people in situations like this. When one country wants the complete destruction of another, what makes you think they would actually sit down, talk, and follow any agreement that was drawn up?

Well, Israel really couldn't work with Hamas...... they denounce Israel as a state. And U.S. has to back up it's allies, else, what's an ally for? Yes it's out of control, but both sides are equally to blame.

From your question I'm thinking you do not know the history of this conflict, Hamas and Hezbollah in particular.

It's like working with Gingus Khan You negotiate then he kills you

Your right moron. Isreal should have worked with Hamas on their stated objective of the destruction of Isreal. Maybe in the land of Idiotia where you come from that makes perfect sense.

Negotiating is not an option. Everyone needs to understand one thing and one thing only about this situation, it will NEVER be over until there is a WINNER AND A LOSER. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

If the United States and our allies had tried this we would all be speaking German.

How do you "work with" people who as a central charter to their existance think you should be "wiped from the face of the Earth?"

Why is it that Libs can "work with" anyone accept the majority of the US public?
