After having lost my last job, I decided to swithc career fields and get a Masters in Accounting degree from UT Austin (ranked #1 for the field). However after having started, I got some interviews in my former field (logistics) and now have a job offer. I am in a bit of a quandry whether to continue with my degree of take up the job. Which field , between accounting/ finance and logistics has better opps for the future? Better to take up a job or continue in school? The job is in south NJ and right now I am in Austin, TX.

I mean the job and school are in two very different places.

You can make it far in any field. Forget school and take the job. You are getting offers with the education that you already have. Why pay for more?

do your masters degree ... this is just because job offers will always keep coming ... but you will only study once (or well, you could opt to continue studying, but many ppl dont like leaving their careers in mid-path to continue education) ... my opinion is definitely to get your masters and then employment!

take care :)

I'd get the job then make them pay for the masters degree.

then do both...take your job, it was your first dream and who knows maybe you have a future there...then take a class once a week or something..it won't hurt your job, yet, it may even add up to your knowledge..
