Your hair will take color.
The chemicals that are now in them are safe , low ammonia.
If you dye your hair make sure it is in a well ventilated room.
Your only danger is low ventilation, you could start to get dizzy and/or pass out. That is good for no one.
My doctor told me this-I've had two kids and changed haircolor many times throughout my pregnancys.
BTW, my kids came out perfect! One at 11lbs!- So don't believe the low birthweight rumors either!
Good Luck!

No.. but the color might not come out as you want it to. Pregnancy hormones change everything, including hair. It's fine to color your hair during pregnancy. Most doctors will tell you to wait until after your first trimester, so if you can wait then do, if not, then just be careful. It's possible to have a reaction to the chemicals they use, and can cause more skin irritation then normal, so talk to the person who is going to do it before your appointment and let them know that you are pregnant before you get it done.

No your hair will take color however it may not take it the way you want. There is no proof as of now that the chemicals will hurt you baby but Doctors prefer for you not to do it. The reason I say that it may not come out the way you want it is because there has been cases were a women was dying her hair blonde and it came out green or something. It has something to do with you hormone level.

No you can dye or bleach your hair and it will work fine. But it is not recommended during pregnancy because your body does absorb some of the chemicals. And you are also going to inhale some no matter how hard you try. I would leave it alone just to be on the safe side.

i color my hair ALOT! (only twice during pregnancy tho) when i became pregnant i had highlighted hair, and it started to grow out and i knew that i could not highlight it as much as i used to so i might as well jes dye it brown and let it grow and then highlight it later on. well when i dyed it brown, my roots(which had grown out since i started taking my prenatal vitamins) turned a reddish brown color instead of the dark brown/black. A month ago when i got my hair highlighted, It did not take long at all to color- and the blonde was soooo white it was pretty!!! mine def took blonde alot better now that i was pregnant.

That's not true! It will get colored. But it's not recommended to get your hair dyed during the first 3 months of pregnancy.

It will probably take but you are no t suppose to do it. It can be harmful to the baby because of the fumes that you inhale go to the baby also just like painting, and other fumes. I say WHY RISK IT. Some these women in here are like well I did it and it turned out ok. Kinda like they thought "all well, lets just try it and see (even though the doctors tell me not to)"

It isn't true. Your hair will color fine. Some people say that you shouldn't dye your hair during pregnancy and some say it is just a myth that the baby will be fine. I know I dyed my hair during my pregnancy and my son is fine~

No. It works but it is not recommended in the first trimester. After three months go for it. Some people find that even if they had no reaction to the chemicals before they were pregnant do have one when they are.
