Today the Dallas stars sign center Eric Lindros, do you think he will be a big help, or a big hurt to the team.

When he stays healthy he is a big asset to any team because he is a decent player! With the leafs last year he scored about 22 points in 32 games. Thats a decet scoring pace, not great but decent. SO i think he could be a big asset, but the deciding factor will be if he stays healthy!

Half a season with Lindros is better than a full season with some other players.

There's some intangibles there, including the veteran presence and the name, and names draw ticket sales, which the Stars can probably use.

On the other hand, Lindros' physical state and attitude are always a question. If he wants to be there and it's a good fit, great. If he's reasonably hale, and there's one more good season in him, even better.

At that point, it's a roll of the dice.

A big hurt and a waste of money. This guy should have retired like 6 years ago. He's been a bust since he's been in the league. He is overrated and I don't think he will last half the season with the Stars.

This has some huge upside written all over it!!!

Lindros could help the Stars win the next Stanley Cup...depending on how Turco does in the playoffs!!!!

for the money the y got him for, it is a good signing. lindros was able to dominate games when healthy...IMO it is better to have a dominant player for 40 games than a mediocre guy for 82 ...Especially when you are not depending on him or paying him to be the star. You can always fill in with another mediocre guy for the games that Lindross will miss due to injuries

He'll be a non-factor. Probably their third line center. The man who dominated the NHL with the Flyers hasn't been seen in over a decade, which is probably why he was only inked to a one year deal.

He will only play in 20 games, get hurt, and retire after the season.

It's appropriate for him to be going to the Stars. He's been seeing them for years.
