bring a spare fuel filter with you. Before Ethanol came around MTBE was used and two mixed together build up sludge(old gas and new gas). Another problem with Ethanol is water. too much water in tank cuz ethanol to separate in the tank so if water is heavier than fuel and your low on the tank..guess what happen. Change your fuel filter to 10 micro part if possible and use up old gas first before mixing it with Ethanol..my 2 cents.

Ethanol contains less energy than gasoline and will produce less power unless used in an engine with higher compression.
Also, ethanol should only be used in an engine whose seals are made of materials that won't degrade when in contact with alcohol.

THere is also an article in Boat US magazine that the ethanol is reacting in some fiberglass intregal fuel tanks breaking down the resin and gumming up the engine with it.

ethanol burns too hot way more than it can take . If you havent ruined it allready get it back on a regular unleaded pump gas diet.

yeah my mercruiser is on unleaded, haven't had a problem yet
