Overcome your shyness by using a method many introverts find helpful. Pretend your job as a cosmetics consultant is like a role in a play, as if the consultant version of you is a whole nother character separate from yourself.
Now you can overcome your shyness by acting in this role of a warm and outgoing consultant. Make your smiling face a mask to hide your true self behind to give you a boost of confidence.

Be proud of the fact that you're helping other women feel and look more confident.
Most of the time, for freelance makeup/beauty consultants, it's all about word of mouth. Build up your clientele one client at a time. Or you can host a makeover party at your house, or a friends place, and get them to bring other people as well, and you can do everyones makeup. And make sure you take lots of photos - that's your portfolio.

You need to talk about makeup with passion and then relate your experience with the items that you are selling. Do not be pushy like Mary Kay sales reps. and you will do just fine.

just be loud and live life at the fullest..
try to not be quiet...
but...dont talk that much or it'll be annoying
